Role Description

Red Majority is seeking a highly creative, detail-oriented Video Editor to help bring political and advocacy campaigns to life through bold, strategic storytelling. If you thrive in fast-paced environments, know how to craft compelling visual narratives, and enjoy collaborating across creative, digital, and strategy teams, this role is for you.

The ideal candidate is a visual problem-solver with strong technical editing skills and a sharp eye for pacing, tone, and style. You will produce a wide range of digital-first video content — from short-form social clips and ads to long-form explainers and branding reels — all crafted with purpose and political impact in mind. You are someone who understands the power of video in persuasion and mobilization, and you can deliver high-quality edits on tight timelines without sacrificing creativity or clarity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Design, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • 1+ year of professional video editing experience, ideally in agency, campaign, or advocacy settings
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of short- and long-form video content for digital platforms
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects is a plus
  • Skilled in editing with mixed assets: footage, archival clips, stills, stock, music, VO, and motion graphics
  • Ability to create platform-optimized versions across social, OTT, and CTV environments
  • Excellent organizational skills and experience maintaining clean, editable project files under deadline pressure
  • Strong sense of pacing, narrative structure, and visual storytelling
  • Collaborative mindset with openness to feedback and willingness to iterate quickly
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality creative execution
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced political environments and high-stakes campaign timelines
  • Curiosity and desire to grow creatively within political and advocacy media
  • Responsibilities

  • Edit persuasive, digital-first political and advocacy videos across short-form and long-form formats
  • Build compelling visual narratives using a mix of footage, archival content, graphics, music, VO, and sound design
  • Collaborate with creative leads, strategists, and content teams to shape story, tone, pacing, and messaging
  • Create multiple versions and cutdowns optimized for various platforms (social, web, OTT, CTV)
  • Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines, campaign goals, and technical specifications
  • Maintain organized project files, timelines, and naming conventions for fast iteration and team collaboration
  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously and deliver under tight deadlines
  • Stay current on editing trends, political media styles, and new tools or techniques
  • Provide feedback on creative concepts and contribute ideas to strengthen overall campaign storytelling
  • Use Adobe Premiere Pro (and optionally After Effects or similar) with advanced proficiency
  • Benefits

  • Unlimited paid time off (PTO)
  • Commission opportunities for new business generation
  • Competitive compensation package
